The Osborne Food Pantry is looking for some volunteers to help with the daily/monthly operations of the Food Pantry. Two positions are available. If you would like to help fill one of these positions, please let Pastor Dorothy know. (Remember, if you believe that it is too big a job for one person, you may find someone to partner with to fill the position).
Coordinator: Under the direction of the Pastor, the Food Pantry Coordinator oversees the operations of the Food Pantry and Distribution Day, including but not limited to supervision and coordination of food pantry volunteers, purchasing, restocking food pantry items, setting up and taking down on distribution days, food delivery days, cost and quality control, monthly statistics, and reports as required. 1. Maintains the food pantry inventory by placing orders with the Kansas Food Bank and purchasing food and non-food items from the local stores. 3. Assures that proper stats are taken and reported to the Kansas Food Bank and Pastor. 4. Responsible for implementing food pantry policies and procedures. All other duties as assigned.
Assistant Coordinator: Under the direction of the Coordinator, the Food Pantry Assistant Coordinator oversees the operations of the Food Pantry and Distribution Day, including but not limited to supervision and coordination of food pantry volunteers, reporting to the Coordinator with what food to order, restocking food pantry items, setting up and taking down on distribution days, food delivery days, cost and quality control, monthly statistics and reports as required. 1. Trains, schedules, and provides monthly supervision of food pantry volunteers. (Remember to include other churches and the community in your volunteer pool). 2. Oversees setting up and taking down the food distribution room. 3. Assures that proper stats are taken and reported to the Coordinator. 4. Oversees the food delivery days: by meeting the Kansas Food Bank driver and ensuring that all the food is put away. 5. Stocks shelves as needed and ensures proper rotation of food. 6. Responsible for implementing food pantry policies and procedures. 7. All other duties as assigned.
